Latest "Fusion" pen

I made this one the other day. It's unique in its on way. Any guesses on what it's made of? I can say it's Red Poly Resin with some pearl-x added in for the swirl effect. It's finished with 10 coats of CA and highly polished. I've been wanting to make a blank with this for a while and I'm glad I did. What is the other material or wood?

Excellent guess. YES, It is Bamboo. I figured it would be pretty easy. I'm always looking for something to cast.

I almost said palm cut outs. Looks great. Would like to see the bamboo go all around instead of in one direction. No matter what it is a winner.


I take that back. I like the look of it running down the side.

That blank is something. I thought it may have been some sort of rope in there.

If you cut them thinner and place them just right you can get the round to show on all 4 sides...it's a lot of work though. Nice pen, Eugene.
