Have had a few busy weeks, but finally got back in the shop today. One of George's (Robutacion) blanks--unknown wood medallion cast in green, dressed in Patriot hardware. My first turning with cast wood--the sapwood was a wee tricky--but managed to finally get it done!!
James (Racer3770) did the Alumite blank for the Le Roi Royale. Photo doesn't do this blank justice--it's got nice subtle tones that show better in natural light. Turned this one a few weeks back, but couldn't get a good finish with just MicroMesh as James warned--so I finally picked up a buff system, made a world of difference.
