Here are a couple of ornaments I turned for a coworker/friend of my Wifey. We delivered these on New Years Eve as we spend this evening each year with them having dinner, watching the game (Roll Tide!)...I mean ...watching the Ball drop in Times Square and bringing in the new year.
Both of these are turned from maple.
The icicle ornament is finished with spray paints, a satin lacquer clear coat and some guilding cream. All was done on the lathe.
The orb ornament has a little texturing, is hollowed and has several jingle bells inside, and is finished with spray paints on the lathe. It weighs only 1.25 ounces.
