Another European pen. I have no idea what the blank is. When I picked it out it was a very dark brown...as I turned it, it changed to reds, yellows with a touch of grays.
If someone can help me figure out what wood this is, I would greatly appreciate it. lol

Good looking European.

My 2 cents, looks too dark for canarywood and too light for cocobolo. My 2 cents might be counterfiet.

Looks like Cocobolo out of Panama. Mexican Cocobolo is darker. Is the wood slightly oily leaving a residue when sanding? Did it have astrong odor when cut, drilled and turned? If so, you can bet on Cocobolo.
