The last American Bell Factory in America, Bevin Bells was destroyed by fire last week in East Hampton, CT. They have been making bells on the same site for the last 180+ years. A friend of mine knows the owner and sent me the story. I have included a link to the website with the company's story. The 6th generation owner, Matt Bevin is demonstrating the good old American Spirit - he has decided to rebuild and restore because "its the right thing to do."
