I ordered some kits from Laserlinez a while back and finally got around to starting some pens with them, prepared blanks and glued in the tubes. I put one on the lathe to start rough turning and the bushings didn't fit the tubes. After some screwing around and measuring things, it was clear that the tubes included in the kits were sized incorrectly. I contacted Laserlinez through their website contact form, and after a few days got an email back that replacement tubes would be sent out the next day. After a week went by with no tubes in the mail, I sent another email to inquire about the replacement tubes. No response to that email, so I sent another after 3 days. This time I got a response promising to send the tubes out 'tomorrow'. So two emails promising to send replacements 'tomorrow'. Maybe I'll get some tubes, maybe not, who knows? Poor customer service on multiple fronts doesn't earn repeat business from me, so the search for quality components continues.

I've never had problems with them. You just never know what may be going on within the business or personally. I wouldn't let this one time effect you. If it becomes a habit...... then you should have a concern. Just my 2 cents worth.

Interesting that almost immediately after posting here I got a shipping notification from Laserlinez; my emails apparently didn't concern them, but a public complaint seems to have worked. I understand that stuff happens and I wouldn't be irritated about this if the proprietor had been up front with me but he basically lied twice about shipping out the replacement part. If you have a legitimate issue (out of town, too many simultaneous commitments, family member sick) just tell me I and I'll understand, but lie to me and we're done.

I hear you Fred ........

But I think things will work out and you will be happy with the product . . I have been .

Sometimes "stuff happens", as you said, and it is worthwhile to "hang in there".

Also, sometimes a phone call works where an email does not; and sometimes it is the other way around.

BTW ...... are you sure the bushings are correct ? . I see that as an alternative possibility.

I have purchased several pen kits from them in the past and I am very pleased with the quality. They are a very simple design, but a pen that you know will last a life time, Plus it is very nice to buy a kit made in America.

On one of my orders, I received the wrong bushings, I contacted them and they sent the right bushings right away. I agree with Preacher Jon, there may be other things going on, I would suggest that you give them another chance.

Your posting and Their shipping is just coincidence, Constant is a member on IAP but has not been on since April.
