no - it was really more of a rhetorical question I guess. I think it can be done on Gent pens, not sure on Statesman...and not sure it would look good with a casein band anyway.

I'd have to examine the center band to see of it can be disassembled. I know it arrives all together.

You gave me a great idea though... Omit the Statesman center band altogether on a future project and just use the coupler.
