Laminations

Here are some laminations I've been working on.The first one on left is Cocolobolo/Birdseye maple, the second one is Cherry/Birdseye Maple, the third and fourth are ash/cocobolo

Nice job on your pens with the glued up segments.
Not to be a stickler, but it seems we throw different words around and sometimes not very accurately.
Here is the definition of lamination :

Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary, © 2002 Merriam-Webster, Inc.
lamination

n 1: a layered structure 2: bonding thin sheets together

I realize everything is relative and my definition of thin may not be the same as yours.
I had done a lot of surfing while coming up with ideas for pens and when I don't look up the right word I don't find the information I want.
I would say your pens would be diagonal segments.
Beautiful combinations nonetheless.

Thanks for all the replies. Eagle I have to agree with you. I'll have to change my terminology to segmented. At the time I didn't know what to call them.
