Here is my latest creation. I used a nice piece of Greenstone Mallee Burl that was given to me.
Cap threads are 12mm, pen diameter is 15mm, pen length is 145mm, capped is 155mm.
The timber was given a couple of coats of CA, then some Ubeaut traditional wax.
Its got a #6 JoWo nib, and a handmade stainless steel clip.

That is a stunning pen Brad. I love the green and burl match. I'd easily say that is one of the most impressive pens I've seen in a long time. The profile is appealing, the finish is one I prefer and the pictures are equally impressive.

Wow!

Hey Mark, thanks for the praise mate.
This is kitless #3 for me, it should be getting easier, but I had a lot of trouble with this one.

Superbly done, Brad !!!

You can't beat Aussie burls !

Thanks for the dimensions and thread specs.

What material is the green part ? . A resin of sorts I assume.

Thanks everyone for the comments 👍

Cheers Mal. It's Acrylic Acetate. I got it from Timberbits, I think it's called "Candy Apple Green " on their website.

I am sorry. My question was poorly worded. Did you use a metal lathe to turn the barrels and/or make the threads? Thank you.
Oh OK . I do everything on my woodlathe at the moment.
I have a metal lathe but I don't have a way to adapt a collet chuck to it yet. The 3jaw chuck has got some runout so I don't use it yet.

Brad,

Thanks for your reply ... I like that green acrylic ... will be looking it up on Timberbits !!
