G'day!
So I have been bitten with the kitless bug, and recently bought some Brook's blanks. They are magnificent. I had issues with my die and ruined 2 tenons on the barrel, which left it quite short. Too good to waste, I added black ebonite to the ends and used aluminium can spacers. Once completed, I ended up changing the section to a black ebonite one, which I think works OK.
Jowo #6 med nib (one pictured is an old damaged one that I use to measure with)
From a mistake to something useable

Cruddy pics too, sorry!

Thanks for looking!

There are times when the mistake and resulting fix becomes much better than the planned original. I know your original would have been beautiful, but this is just magnificent! It looks totally PLANNED! The black emphasizes the body color wonderfully!

Very beautiful. Your unexpected setback turned out to be a blessing as I think the pen turned out great with the matching ends, Thanks for sharing.
