Here is some pictures of some willow trees that are growing in our local park. The tress are so diseased that their is hardly a place on them that isn't covered in burl knots.

I call these "killer Burl" because if you look closely at the last picture you can see about 4 inches of the top of cast iron fence post sticking out of the truck. The rest of this 8 foot long post is completely swallowed up by this tree. Did I mention it is a cast iron post? Cutting into this tree may have adverse affects on the health of the cutter and any one else who may be near by.

I do love stopping by this park after huge wind storms though. Like I said, there is hardly any area on the tree not affected by the burls,so any branches that get knocked down during a storm tend to be covered in burls.
