Another Hairy Oak and a Keats Pen kit that's a Slimline with larger centre band and a better refil. I am beginning to love this wood but I do have a lot of it.
The finish is friction polish and Wax. Please feel free to comment good or bad

Love that hairy oak, Mike.
The shape needs to grow on me a bit more.
The clip end just looks like a peanut ( Sorrry )

That's a friction polish finish? Nice.
Yes it's friction polish over sanding sealer. I use a Shelac high-build friction polish I alternate with the lathe off then on about 6 layers. Then microcrystalline wax.
Hope this helps, it's more natural than CA in my opinion.

My view is if it feels fine the. that's OK Mike, said it many times.

Looks good wood to work with and shape is unusual but for someone with grip issues could be ideal. I made something with a similar lower shape for a lady with bad arthritis and she loved it so

I agree 100 %. CA may be more durable but in my opinion, it's totally unnatural on wood. When I want that high a gloss, I use an acrylic blank. Wood should feel like wood. Sometimes I use Deft lacquer to finish wood. It's sort of in between a friction polish and CA but it still has a wood feel to it.
