Hi Friends,

Another example of Functional Aboriginal Art. This is Kangaroo in the Bush. This is the Western Grey Kangaroo. The other species is the Red Kangaroo. The population of Kangaroos in Western Australia (WA) is about 1.3 million. The population of humans in WA is about 3 million. Kangaroo meat is often eaten by both Aboriginal and non Aboriginals. The meat is very healthy and lean. However the Kangaroo tail is a delicacy and loved by the Aboriginals due to the high fat content. An interesting aspect of the Kangaroo in the bush is that they often some out of the bush to the side of the road to puddles of water, to drink. This makes it dangerous on the highways and you should avoid driving at dawn and dusk as this is the time they are more likely to come out. Thanks

Cheers,
Sean
