Hello everyone, and a special hello to all my dearest friends. You all know who you are. I apologize for being so completey non active the last few months. Some of you know what has been going on in my life this last summer. On that note I will just say that all is well with my mother and my father. Thanks to all those that sent prayers and well wishes and forgive me that I have not kept you all better informed. It has ben an extremely difficult and busy time for me, but the battle is in our favor. I have missed all of you tremendously and feel very much out of the know right now.

Along the lines of not knowing. I had one of my chickens die recently. Since one of the reasons I started breeding them was to provide fethers for making feather blanks. I am looking for the best of the best feather blank makers to donate the skin to. So I am asking all of you to pipe up with who you think deserves some new materials to experiment with.

Thanks

Daniel,

I am glad you stopped in for a while! I am also thankful that things are going alright for you. I know you have been through a lot lately!

My vote is for John Underhill. I think he makes some of the nicest blanks!

Daniel

Glad thingss are going better for and your family. Hope to see at one of the North/Central Cal meeting next year. Next time I am up in Reno I will get ahold of you and we can get lunch or a cup of Coffee.

Hey Daniel,
good to see you back. For Feather blanks my vote is also John Underhill. I've turned a couple of his pheasant feather blanks and they are perfect.

Good to hear from you and that things are starting to turn around. Except for the chicken of course. John can do more than justice for the poor bird.

Daniel, I was just about to ask about you and thought I'd wait until after the holidays, so very glad all is well. Welcome home from all your your friends in your computer.

Daniel,
It is nice to hear from you. Glad that all is doing better for you and your family. Hope that you had a nice Christmas. I add my vote for John getting the feathers.

Thanks everyone, so nice to see you all. and it looks like John it will be. I just have to get his address. Tom, any time my friend. I am very much a by the seat of my pants sort of planner so don't be shy if you forgot to call ahead. I always look forward to seeing you again.

An update for all of you that voted for John to receive my feathers. I sent them to him a while back. yesterday I received a mystery package in the mail with his return address. inside where three blanks made from that skin. I never had any expectation of getting anything from this but it is wonderful to see with my own eyes the results. This little chicken was something sort of special to me and my kids. It had a bad start and we spent a lot of time and energy keeping it alive. When my kids saw the blanks there where a few tears of both joy and a few remembering the loss. Bitter sweet, but I want to thank all of you, and a very special thanks to John for doing us all right in this. A seemingly unimportant thing that many of you took with all seriousness simply because it was important to me. I have to get some kits and make pens out of these. I will post pictures when they are done. but nothing will make them mean more to me than once again this group was a big part of making them happen. It means more than you will ever know, but you still act as if it is that important. John does amazing work with these blanks.
