This was a bit of a suprise. Terry Q. gave me these blanks months ago. They are dry now, and I turned this blank first. I don't know what I expected from a peach tree, but it's pretty unusual for fruit wood.

Very nice... now I have to finally cut that peach log that has been sitting in the shop for over a year.. [:p] Don't fruit woods turn sweet...
Got a nice surprise from MDWine (Mike) yesterday... he stopped over on his way back from a Black Powder Shoot and gave me a big chuck of Plum tree... and some planter boxes I needed... the wood looks real good even under the waxing on the ends... Thanks Mike...

Thats a very nice pattern, a really attractive pen!
Nice job, Rich!!

[;)] My pleasure, Tom!! I'm glad I could give something back!

(I didn't go home exactly empty handed either! ...Thanks again!)

My favorite is apricot....very nice grain and a little darker. The peach turned out nice...plum is a nice wood also. I never pass up the chance to get some fruitwood.
Do a good turn daily!
