Was heading home from work today and in the left lane behind 2 other cars with a tractor trailer in the right lane. All of the sudden the first car slams on the breaks to avoid an extension ladder I the road. I hit my breaks and head for the media. The car in front of me does the same. So I try to cut back right to avoid the car with ABS screaming and no traction in the grass. BANG!!!!! Clipped the car.

Here is where my luck kicks in. The car I hit is my wife!!!

Now I have 2 damaged vehicles to deal with. The guy with the ladder was on scene so that was good. Bad thing he just got the truck and did not have his insurance on it. Good thing is we all have the same insurance company. Best part: NO ONE was hurt.

So off to the insurance office in the morning. My truck (2007 Tacoma 4x4) needs a new tire, 1/4 panel, wheel trim and at least a front end alignment. Wife's car will need a corner panel, trunk lid and new exhaust. That is if they don't total her car out (95 corolla).

Angels working overtime today.

To add insult to injury, my other car started blowing oil when my daughter came out of class. So now I am down 3 vehicles. Good thing I had full coverage on my truck and it covers a rental. Took the truck to the body shop today to see how much was damaged. At least I have a descent rental, a Kia Forte.
