What's everybody up to?

I've made exactly one pen this year. :( So I haven't been by.

I noticed the "Like" function. Pretty cool!

Not really. Still (!) in the RV at the in-law's house.

Son finished his chemo, and has so far tested clean. In-laws are getting sicker and sicker, to the point where neither of them get out of bed much anymore (except the mother-in-law who still gets up to go to work, but as soon as she gets home she's in bed.)

Also, we "adopted" a friend. She's a 70-something lady we've known for 20 years up in Big Bear from when I used to live there. She's been living on her minimum Social Security and was starving when we found her. So my wife goes up a couple times a week to help her and buy her groceries and such.

So settled? LOLOLOL!

But I managed to turn a pen the other day for a gift for my boss, and I thought of you guys, so thought I'd pop in.

Its pretty much still the same around here. Some new faces and great talent though. THe metal lathe forum mya have been added since you have been away.

Glad to see you Don. Tell your son to stay strong, it's not an easy fight. How is your daughter adapting to Cali? I know you got a lot going on, but if you need some blanks or kits pm your address. Only takes 3 days to get there, and i've got tons of stuff in the shop just taking up space.

Don,

Hang in there mate my wife Wilma finished Chemo couple of weeks ago started first week of Brachy finishes next week this is a 6 mth treatment following surgery so far. We admire
the fact you are providing for the parents also the family friend. In the 1960,s Wilma heard of a lady whose family abandoned in Melbourne of great age 400 miles south so she appointed herself honourary granddaughter, this lasted many years and gave both parties huge comfort, we visited her there and stayed in constant touch.

Pray for blessings for your son, parents and close friend.

Kind regards Peter.

Good to hear from you Don. It doesn't cost much to check in and chat so drop in any time. Will be thinking about you and best wishes handling all that life's dishing out for you right now.
