Hello all,

It's been many years since I have checked in here but have been reminiscing about old projects and new. Work, life, and family all compete for our time and like many things I have enjoyed in my life, turning took a back burner for many years.

I checked in mostly to see who of my old pals were still here and am so happy to see many names that are still active. This has always been a great community and a place where many of you supported my new ideas. I learned so much from many of you. By far, this forum has been the best I had ever been a part of.

I recently retired after 30 years in law enforcement and still have all my fingers, toes, and some of my mind left! While I haven't turned in pen in so long, I still work with in the shop regularly and create new things.

Well, enough on that! I Hope each of you are amazing and I will look forward to checking in from time to time!

Cheers!

Welcome back James.
Welcome to the "club". I retired about 15 years ago. Went back to work part time at a local mom and pop hardware store about 13 years ago.

So awesome of you all the chime in! Was a long career and now time to enjoy! Competing interests, mostly hunting in multiple states, and working 60 hours a week, spending time with the wife, occupied my time. I will do my best to get behind the lathe again very soon. Still have all my gear!

Glad that you are doing well James. It's been a long while since you posted here. Good that you
posted and hopefully you will make some great pens again. I maintain that your CA finish was the best
ever and I still have one of your magnetic Red mallee closed end fountain pens to prove it. Welcome back.

So great to see you!!! That seems like a lifetime ago! That was a fun pen to make! I appreciate the kind words and I am so glad to hear from you!!!

Welcome and Happy Off-Work Day Forever! You will find that in six months you will start wondering how you managed to find 40 hours a week for work.
You're telling me! I was working 60 for the last 3 years, but I am uncertain how I found time to do anything! Now that I have been retired, I am uncertain how I ever found time for work!
