There's nothing special about the pen itself it's the way I put it together. A friend of mine's daughter like to draw. She drew the picture and my friend really like it. I guess since I'm not an artsy person I don't get it but that's just me. Ha Ha. Anyway I took a picture of the picture with my phone. Then I had the daughter sign her name on a blank piece of white paper. I took a picture of that with my phone as well. I sized the drawing and printed it on a shipping label. Stuck it on the tube and cast it in clear resin. The pen body is BOW. I save the plain grain woods for engraving. I turned the blank and traced the signature in my laser program then engraved the blank. I turned the cap and done. Like I said the pen doesn't look anything special but it was fun building it. Questions and Comments are always welcome.

The signature is awesome, wonder if there's a decent way to get the same effect without a laser engraver.
Maybe with a waterslide decal. Some people here have done wonders with them. Myself it's been hit or miss with the seams. If I can cut close to the edge of the images they look great. If I can't sometimes if you look close enough you can see the edge. It might be tough with a signature. I think it would be worth a try. Good Luck.

Maybe with a white ink decal for the signature, put over dark wood prior to a CA finish, or something to that effect.
