I have been called for Jury Duty for the next two weeks until the end of the month. I know I have to report tomorrow but the rest of the time depends on what's on the docket and whether I get selected for a Jury or not. At any rate on days that I need to report I need to leave home at 7am so there could be a one day delay in shipping for orders arriving late at night or early in the day. I apologize but the government can get mighty antsy if I don't go.

They obviously don't know you like we do..........
Well on day 1 they did call my name....they listed alphabetically those who did NOT have to report to a courtroom for jury selection.
I know government is SLOW, inefficient, SLOW, hurry up and wait, SLOW and all of that sort of thing but jury selection set up here in Kent County, Delaware is about as bad as it gets.
I will say this though, the person in charge of the jury assembly room was GOOD - she saw me once when I walked past her and she scanned my Jury Duty Summons. An hour later they had us change rooms and I didn't quite catch all the directions - I met her in the hall and asked her where I should be going and she addressed me as Mr. Smith..............that was impressive since she scanned at least 120 or so people in.
