Made this today from Warmara the end cap blew so took another blank same wood but there is a striking difference.
Finish Sanding Sealer Friction Polish and Microcrystalline Wax I'm getting to like this finish the Wax adds more gloss and seems to protect the Sanding Sealer.
A simple pen but please free to comment.

That's a lovely timber, Michael, and one that I hadnt come across before so I looked it up.
Wamara is also known as Guyana Rosewood, but it's still new to me.
It makes a good looking pen and you have got a good finish on it.

It's a wood I've used a lot sometimes it shows interesting grain.
I like using this finish it brings out the grain. Thanks for your comments Alan.
Just taken delivery of some more Hairy Oak to play with.

I find the contrast between cap and barrel very attractive !! . . Well done !!

The striped grains in the cap are the same colour as the barrel . . . that really appeals to me !!

Thank you so much but it was more by luck than design. But sometimes life's like that.
