Got a really nice blank from Pat at Ankrom Exotics. Had some problems, Laurenr helped me with the finish. Not good enough to sell, cause I botched the finish so bad before Lauren saved me, but I really really like it and I am using it for my carry pen.

I needed to sand it, much much more, and I think I got it too hot when sanding before the final CA treatment.

Anyway, I think it's cool, what do you all think? Jim

haha creative photography. bad spot is on the back where you can't see it. It's not real terrible, good enough for me to use. But not to sell someone. I like it a lot1 Thanks for the nice commnts. Jim

I did the same thing on an identical blank with the finish a few months back. I realized that I really needed those Delrin bushings to finish mine out (a Baron)because during the sanding I got that metal bushing "bleed" into the light wood, and once it was there it seemed no amount of acetone would take it out. Yours looks great!
