This really is a nice looking pen kit. I couldn't decide what kind of fancy wood to use, so here we are with a mica pearl blank. The blank holes were painted black. the finish is just the natural polyester resin sanded, polished with Zona paper, then buffed with tripoli and white diamond.

Anybody know why the iridescence seems to only show on two sides on most of these type of blanks? Is it just gravity with casting them horizontally?
