Many of you know about our journey to adopt two children from Lesotho, Africa. And many have supported us. At this point, the adoption itself is fully funded. We are continuing to save for our trip and the required three weeks to stay in the country. If you are interested in helping, you can find a link on our blog for tax deductible giving.

I also wanted to share our latest update from our family blog. We continue to wait with hope for February 15 as that is the day of a matching meeting within the country. If you are a praying person, please join us in prayer for this meeting for the kids who need a forever family and the parents who are wanting to bring kids home.

This Unexpected Life

It made me smile to think about praying for y'all. I think I will, but I also think I will pray that those you take from Africa don't FREEEZE in Michigan the first day. Dont for get to take em a coat to wear back when you go to meet and bring them home.

Thank you. We are looking at the lists of things we need to take care of, and it gets quite overwhelming. I know we can handle it, but still a lot to think about.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

Good luck with your adoption. I know what a lengthy process it can be, having adopted our youngest daughter from China years ago before they had figured out the process so that it ran smoothly. Your joy will be multiplied many times by their presence in your lives.
