Where can I find a 4" tool rest for a Jet Mini. I've seen them somewhere and now can't find them.
Thanks

Go to Lee Valley... they have a nice set that is interchangeable..i.e., you can buy 4", 6", etc. and a separate post. I bought a set of cross bars in various sizes and a post for the Jet mini plus a post for my Jet 1442... unscrew the bar from one post and screw it on another....
I have the Lee Valley one for my 1220, which is actually the Sorby set, for mandrel-less turning and like. It is pretty nice but it takes some getting used to to have the circular tool rest directly over the post without the slight offset that many tool posts have.
I think if I really am going to use it a lot, I should use that style all the time. Switching tool rest styles gets confusing as you need to adjust your technique slightly every time.
I've got a set of t-bar rests, theste work great on larger stuff, but I can't get them close enough to the blank on my 1642 - there's no offset and the banjo doesn't travel far enough.
