Jet tool rest

Does anybody know where to find a 8 or 10 inch tool rest for a Jet Vs 1014 mini lathe. Thanks in advance. Reed

Woodcraft makes a nice modular tool rest system and you can get different length cross bars for it. You can also get custom sizes for the same price as standard sizes at monster-wood-tool.com. If you write him and tell him what you want, he'll take care of you. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see his product lengths.

If you have a welder or know someone who does, you can make or have one made. I used 5/8" bolts(the hardest grade ones) and removed the threads and heads and welded up some "T"'s. If you can find some 12" bolts you will have 8-10" left when the threads are removed...if you can find them with short threaded sections.

They have worked great for me.

I just bought a set of 3 tools rests from PSI for my jet... Pretty resonable cost and shipped quckly.

the set is in three different lengths.. comes in 6, 9 and 12 inch.. round bars.
