The page you see in Scott's link is not what he sees.
I too received an e-mail with the woodcrafts specials and the Jet mini is $199.99 with free shipping.[:D]
 
I just picked up my new Jet Mini VS with indexing lathe today. Someone mentioned that it looked like the tool and holder hole were missing from the front but it is still there. BUT they did not improve the washer under the tailstock so Fred is still in business. Now to find time to unpack it and try it out [:p][:D][:p]

Scott, regardless of which lathe you buy, be SURE it has variable speed. The first lathe I bought did not have it and I ended up in less than six months buying one that was VS.
 
It looks like they are all gone. It is not listed on that link any more.

It seems that they were playing some sort of game with the links. When I posted that it clearly showed the non-vs mini on sale for $199 and free shipping on orders over $75.

Like I said before, I think that they are just trying to unload the old stock before they bring in the new models.

I am not going to buy one of these myself. I just got a General 25-200 last month, which I like a lot.

I purchased mine from my local Woodcraft where I work. We did not get the longer mini in but I wanted the VSI unit instead. The price is $299 but will be $422.00 when the sale is over. The WHM tool group flyer says Jan 1, thru April 30th, 2007. Hope that this helps.
