We bought a Jet JDP-17MF last July from Woodcraft. It was a decent drill press, but it started to blow up blanks. I found that the tip of the bit was kicking to the side when it hit the stop and that was the problem. I talked to the techs at WHM Tool Group who owns Jet and they sent me out new bearings for it, no change after installing them. I spoke to them again a few times and finally got a manager and once we figured out what the machine was(no serial number on it) he decided to send me out a new machine at no charge to me at all. The machine was delivered to my shop yesterday and is waiting for me to return home and set it up. I just want to say that even though the machine wasn't the perfect machine, they went the full amount necessary to keep me happy. I was expecting them to send out a repair person or something, but they did a whole lot better as far as I am concerned. I wish all manufacturers would take care of customers in this way. My shop is going to remain full of Jet and Rikon tools in the future.
