This is located right outside of Harrisburg PA. I doubt anyone here is local enough to want to consider it. No shipping this lathe.
I have a jet 1220 midi lathe in good mechanical but rough cosmetic condition. Although it's getting cleaner by the day as I work at it. It looks as though the previous owner applied finish to his projects without much protection of the lathe. The bed will be nicely cleaned and ready to go but the banjo and the front and back will likely still have some buildup. The lathe runs good. Very quiet. No rust or buildup in any of the tapers or on the threads. Not variable speed. This is a belt change model.
Build in light that works. Comes with just about everything that you need to get stated turning pens. - 2 tool rests, spur center, 60 degree live center, 2 adjustable pen mandrels. Jacobs chuck for drilling, and a bunch of tools. The red handles are all Benjamin's best high speed steel. The bigger ones are nice tools to get started skew, roughing gouge, spindle gouge, parting tool- the smaller ones are part of a psi micro set. The light color handles are older I. Have no idea about.
asking...$225
I'll post an updated pic of the lathe tomorrow showing some results of the cleanup job I've been doing.
