I have one of the first Jet 1014 variable speed lathes. Lately, with the speed control knob turned near full power, the lathe "surges".
WITHOUT CHASING down the circuit board with an ohm meter, I have more or less isolated the problem to a bad pot on the circuit board.
THE PROBLEM: Apparently Jet only sells the ENTIRE Circuit board at a price of $172. I'M not paying $172 for a worn out "volume control".
Does anybody know the values for this potentiometer, before I disassemble the lathe and get out the magnifying glass?
Thanks for any and all help!
