Gorgeous pens !! . Well done, Kyle !!!

I can't remember if you do your own castings ... but if you bought the blanks, where did you get them, and are their names the same as in the thread title ?

Thanks.

I did buy the blanks, sadly I have not gotten in casting just yet. Trying to justify the initial investment. Most everything I get is either from Rockler, PSI, or Woodturningz. Also the names are what is listed on the blanks for search ability.

Those all look fantastic! I've always liked the Jester blank and used one for a pen I gave to a coworker. I even cloned the blank only I added a bit of white. Which brings me to casting and why you should do it. Casting adds a whole new creative outlet to the hobby. You can clone blanks you like (or modify them slightly) and make originals nobody else has. Yes, getting set up can get expensive especially if you don't have an air compressor but after that the cost per blank is quite cheap compared to buying them retail. I hate to be an enabler, but you've been cranking out some very nice work, why not take it to another level and start using your own blanks? Ok I'm going to shut up before I get both of us in trouble...

Trouble ? . ... no trouble ! . I like reading what you have to say !

It seems that more and more people are making custom blanks ... I haven't started to do that yet .... perhaps someday.

I do have a large compressor already so is that like a gateway drug? lol. I think I will start doing some research and starting soon.

You're already halfway there! A pressure pot from HF is less than $100 and only needs minor modification. A piece of PVC pipe is cheap and makes a lot of pen blank molds, but you'll eventually want a block mold too. You can get different effects and make 5 or 6 blanks at once. I bought one from ptownsubbie because I'm lazy, but you can easily make your own.
