I like the colors of this one but it didn't polish up as well as I'm used to. I'm not sure if it's the cheap mica I bought direct from China or possibly because my resin is getting old, but I usually get more depth and a higher shine. I had a good surface after turning and the blank was definitely fully cured. Silmar 41, yellow dye, red & purple mica powders. I stole the color mix from the Inlace Acrylester Jester blank, but used mica for the red & purple to get a pearlescent effect. I also used less yellow and more red & purple, because I like it better that way :wink:

Will have to take your word on the finish/depth issues you mentioned as from what I can see it looks beautiful.

Nice job. That will certainly wake you up in the AM.

Thanks Mark, and yes it's a bit of an eye opener. A retina burning eye opener! As for the polish, I make up for my lack of turning skill with my ability to do a good finish, and this one just isn't quite what I expect from myself.
