Jeep fordite pen blanks

Just picked up some slabs of fordite from the Jeep plant. Trimmed up some to her some pen blanks. 3" blanks for $30 each, 5" blanks (closers to 5 3/8") for $60. I can cut some other 3" if anyone is interested, the 5" blanks were a better yield for this piece.

$8 flat rate shipped.
Pictures of 3 sides since 2 sides are basically the same.

Fordite is the general term giving to layers of paint. It originated in Ford factories, hence the term Fordite. Now you can find it from multiple manufacturers. When they paint vehicles the paint builds up in the shop. After so long and hundreds of layers it becomes thick enough to make stuff with

It's waste to the plants. So they throw it out. There is a supply/demand and coolness factor to it. It doesn't grow in trees like burls!! And there is a finite amount of it.

Anyone interested in more shorter pieces, these are 3+". If needed I can square them up for you, or you can keep the extra material!

I'd be interested too! I've been looking for a couple fordite blanks for a while now. I'd be especially interested in any blanks that still have the rough/"natural" edge still on the end if you have them.
