Was trying the hole-saw method again to make a nice pen. My wife has chosen the kit, i couldn't make a choice after making the blank. The result:

Could you please tell us the hole saw diameters that you used to make that particular pattern ?

Did you just use 3 hole saws? The hole saws that I have found all have a much larger kerf than what the infill appears to be in your pictures. Very nice! - Dave

The wood used to fill the gaps are sanded to the diameter i need. A holesaw 100 mm needs a piece of 99.5 mm with the 0.25 mm pvc strip. So that piece is sanded to that diameter.
