I'm thinking about getting a set of spigot jaws for my Talon chuck but I'm unsure on which type the smooth or profiled. I have switched to drilling my pen blanks on the lathe, at least part of the time. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

Oh sure, you say that now, but pretty soon you'll be wanting Jaws 2, 3 and 4. Then maybe Jaws - First blood, or maybe Return of the Jaws or Revenge of the Jaws. And none of them will ever be as good as the original Jaws, but you won't be able to stop yourself. There will be Son of Jaws, then Honey I blew Up the Jaws. Save yourself the grief, just say no to Jaws!

See what happens when I have nothing constructive to say! ;-)

Greggas, Thanks ! I was kind of thinking along those lines but it's good to hear it from someone who has used them. The tape is a good idea.
Scott, rememeber Jaws from the James Bond movies? I met him once... when I was like 5 years old, so I don't really remember it much. =0)

Hi Lenny!

Yes, I remember him! USA Channel showed all the James Bond movies over the past couple of weeks, and I got to see him again! Of course they came on at 4:30 in the morning!

Here's a Halloween question: If Jaws from the James Bond movies and the Jaws-Of-Life were to have a child, what would he/she look like?

Have fun with the new Talon jaws!

Scott.
