My bad, haven't talked to ya'll in awhile. Been busy. My lathe is sitting in storage because I moved down to Houston, I have no way of gettin it till my parents decide to go back to Granbury and empty the storage shed. Sucks, I miss turning pens. Anyways, that set aside, my story for the last 4 years of being gone. Lets see....

Well, I moved from WI to Granbury, TX. Than from there to Fort Worth, than down here to El Campo, just south of Houston. Started wasting money on stupid stuff, drugs, cigs, alcohol, and other unneeded items. Anyways, all that stupid stuff aside, I'm back working with my dad in a woodworking shop, we have every machine except a lathe, which sucks. I'm trying to get back to Granbury though so I can get my lathe and start turning again. But I got so much stuff going on, getting ready for automotive college, buying my 4th car this year, finding another job, and getting out of my parents house, that I barely have time to get on this forum and turn pens again. I hate it, but oh well, priorities first, right? Anyways, I'm done, feel free to comment and flame me for using drugs. Peace out :biggrin:

Pretty st---id for using them but I give you more credit for stopping. I wish you well on your future. Don't ruin it with stuff you don't need.

Stopping at 20 shows a lot more sense than stopping at 45. Stay straight---you will be a lot healthier in 20 years!!!
 
Welcome back , but question/suggestion . 3 cars burned through and another one needed , or are you starting a collection ? If the latter , a cheap second hand lathe might be better for you .
 
The four cars thing doesn't concern me much. By the time that I had turned twenty, I had owned at least a half dozen cars. Each had cost me less than $500 (two as little as $100). At that price, you drive them until they finish dying and you buy another. If you get a year out of a $500 car that you put almost no maintenance money into, you are far ahead of the curve.
