You may remember this thread from about a week ago concerning two special order pens. Well, I remade the rattlesnake blanks and let them cure over night in the mold, then waited 3 more days (because I had a show last weekend) before I turned them.

Both are prairie rattler on a full size Statesman with an upgrade Bock nib.
Pens are being mailed to the buyer in Dallas tomorrow.

A vast improvement from the first thread! Did you figure out what went wrong in your casting procedure? Your customer is gonna love em!

I think it was the heat from the oven that caused the skin and PR to separate. That's the only thing I did different in the first batch and these and ones I've successfully cast previously.
