It did not warp yet

Well, a year ago we made this table for my den. I was warned by several in this group that my technique would indeed cause it to warp over time. This year has seen record snow, teen temperatures, over 100 degree temperatures and Covid19 yet it is today as flat as it as a year ago. It has been well used too.

Congratulations! You are living right. Some do, some don't. Great looking table! I haven't forgotten the discussions and was wondering how it worked out.

If it was sealed well all around, it shouldn't warp.
Looks good to me.

What causes the warping is if the humidity changes, which can cause the wood to expand and contract. If the humidity in the environment it is in stays relatively constant, it will not warp. Since it hasn't warped, you must maintain a stable environment.

We live where humidity can vary from single digits to almost 100%. I'm sure the house reduced changes but this piece has seen substantial variation in humidity. It is sealed all around and finished almost equally 360 with several coats of wipe on poly. Just giving you guys an update.
