Whew, finally found someone addicted worst then me. Worked great for the wife also, however she is worried things could be getting worst, lol.

All you need is a little sawdust, shavings, and chips spread around on the floor, and a thin film of dust on everything. :cool:

Then the picture would be complete! :biggrin::biggrin:

(I know, I know...dust collection in its many forms! But can't we have at least a few shavings? :tongue:)

Hey John,
Send her on a vacation to Texas to see all the great shops down there. She will be impressed and feel sorry for you.

While she is gone, just go ahead and build the shop of your dreams. Be sure to charge it to her credit card and tell her that she never has to get you anything else for Christmas, B-day, Anniversary, Valentine's day, etc again.

You just might get away with it.

LOL..Good Morning my friend ! Yep it's the Micromark 7 X14 for which you made me the tailstock DRO. I still use it to turn down rods of material to the diameter I need. Kind Regards!! Doc:smile:

Thank you Steven !! Hmm...similar. I actually got the idea from You tube videos from a extremely talented penmaker who had some tutorials in which his tools were very conveniently laid out and organized prior to a project, some of his tutorials on IAP in the Library and pictures of his lathe setups with accessories such as rotary tools.
His name escapes me at the moment...need some coffee. However. when I search for a name the image of whiskers, sniffing and a block of cheese come to mind.:wink::biggrin:

Nice layout but I see you have a lot of wasted space. You can tighten up a lot on that floor space and get more tools in there.
 
Great looking shop, kinda crowded, but many of the good ones are. I recognize pretty much everything in there, except for this:

Hi John,
That's part of my jewelry casting system. I didn't show a corner of shop where I have my lost wax casting equipment. What you see is a combination vacuum investment mixer that mixes casting investment bubble free for lost wax technique. I use a automated Paragon furnace for burn out of wax patterns (for example ...a center band ) and use a Neycraft centrifugal casting machine to spin the molten silver or gold into the mold.
