I'm thinking I have seen a ZEN FP, but I have no idea where.

Essentially, what I'm looking for is an FP where the cap is postable with a magnet like the ZEN has.

Anybody??

psi has the vertex FP. That's the only commercially made one i can think of. The stretch FP the next closest but not magnetic.

I remember someone making an actual zen FP here on IAP but don't remember who...might be a good search though.

I wonder if the stretch section & zen sections are interchangeable. Probably not, but it might be worth a try. Then you wouldn't have to stretch the stretch section.

I happen to have all three here with me.

Zen looks like .75mm threads
Stretch and Vertex look like 1mm threads

So you would have to rechase the threads to make them work.

I could get the vertex section to slide down and engage, but only a turn or so before it got too tight with the cross threading. The Stretch wouldn't even go into the coupler, looks like there is a small ridge blocking it on the coupler.

I'm sure it could be done with minimal effort, as long as you have the right die.

I have a Vertex FP that Bob McCormick made... it looks really good and has a magnetic cap.

agreed, I have several of the vertex.

But Jon and I have both noticed that swapping the nib on the vertex doesn't work well. The thickness of the nib seems thicker, so when you swap it to a better nib, the ink dries out faster.

I swapped a handy factory Baron nib into a vertex and after reassembling, was able to pull the nib out with nearly no effort, leaving the feed still in the section.
