I bought some of the birthstone caps that were on sale for buy one get one free from CSUSA. I haven't used one yet, but was looking at them and was kind of confused. [?]They come in two parts, with the stone being seperate from the cap part. I'm just wondering why they are in the two parts like that. Is there something that's supposed to go between these two parts? It seems to me like they could have just come as one part already together. Am I not understanding something about these? Are people using CA glue or gorilla glue or what to attach the stone to the cap? Thanks for any info!:):)

I use a minute drop of thick CA. Don't use too much or it will squeeze out on the cap[:I] I think the reason they are separate is that the twist cap presses in and the crystal might not like it. For the Euro and Americana I guess it's just cheaper to let us do it[V] It was an excellent buy though.

edit: the nice folks at CSUSA told me to use thick CA

Angela,

They come separate because the pressure of pressing the parts together when assembling the pen can crack the birthstone. DAMHIKT!!!! Use a little bit of carefully applied thick CA to glue the stone to place.

Well, that was pretty obvious now that it's pointed out to me! I'm just a little slow at times! [8)] Thanks so much for clearing that up! It makes perfect sense now.
