Does anyone know if there is a difference between micro mesh pads and the colored acrylic/plastic polishing pad kits?

Seems that they might be the same, but there are more grits with the MM...

Any thoughts/info?

Thanks!!

They both work.

The pads keep your fingers from getting hot, which I BELIEVE is a disadvantage. If your fingers are insulated, how do you know when the blank is about the "blow up"???

I like to stop BEFORE it blows up. (Personal preference, you are welcome to differ - just wear goggles!!):D:D:D

recently purchased both. normal has 9 grades i think and the colored has 6. both to 12000

importantly colored set left scratch marks. tried 3 times to get it right before using normal set which worked perfectly first time.

i brought mine from csusa and the colored came with two sets. havent tried the second set yet so cant say if was a one off.

after all that wondered what is the point of the colored set, the normal works fine and was it just a selling gimic?
