I call mine a shed, since my skill sets are very lacking. maybe if I called it a studio my skills would improve.

It's called the dog house, Tom's hideout, Grandpa's shop, Momma Kitty's home (semi feral cat) some time the smoking place, has deck out side and last but not least "The Shop"

I shared this with the officers in our wood turning club. Here is what one of the guys replied with:

John, you might have to translate "Dunny" for our Overseas Bretheren.Mine is a backyard Corrugated Tin Shed concrete floor no heating or cooling tha best part it has a fridge and a dunny,:wink:
They are probably "Too Polite" to ask.

Mine began as a shed to get all of the lawn mowers, yard tools, etc. out of the garage. It then became a shop when I moved all of that stuff back into the garage and moved the wood working tools in. I recently "remodeled" (insulation, paneling, drop ceiling and more lighting, electrical upgrade). But my skills have a long way to go before I would be willing to call it a turnery.
