A week or so ago, I posted pics of this set for a St Pat party tomorrow night.

Being my first bottle stopper, I didn't realize there was no need to use the live center on the other end, leaving a very noticeable divot in the top of the stopper.

Based on some responses I got here, I ordered a nice Irish Florin and countersunk it into the top...turned out great, thanks so much for the idea! :biggrin:

Brian, I'm with you! I'll probably keep turning them with the live center and then insetting/inlaying them with something...

But NEXT time it'll be PLANNED! :tongue:

Hmmm...I've got some cool challenge coins...but I think they might be kinda big. Oh, oh, oh...mini badges!!!

That works well and makes for a good combination.

I'd say I probably use some kind of cabochon on 3/4 of the stoppers I turn, and some kind of finial on the rest.
