Inspired by Mark James

I have really enjoyed the pens Mark has posted and have been inspired to take the chevron concept to a bowl. While not perfect, it was a lot of fun to piece together. Thank you Mark for the inspiration.

It is 3 inches tall and 6 inches across the top. Woods used are maple, mahogany and black veneer.

I attempted to make a larger one and this is the result:

Here are a couple of others I've made recently.

3x5 using mahogany, walnut, padauk, oak and chery.

3x5 maple with walnut accents.

I like the wood choices in the third photo. I'm getting up enough nerve to try one myself. Got lots of different woods. Keep going! Looking for the next turning from your lathe.

Very nice Steve! I missed this yesterday. I appreciate the effort you put into this, hopefully someday I'll join you with some "other things." Excellent design for all.
