Unique to say the least. How many of us assemble our pens while wearing clean, cotton gloves?

I sometimes assemble mine using blue nitrile gloves turned inside out to the clean side, does that count? Lol.

It appears to be a CNC version of some sort of rose engine lathe or an ornamental lathe.

Interesting yes, but there's not a good bright image of the pen in the whole video. I know its supposed to represent the night sky, just too dark and artsy.
