Ink Everywhere!!

My first Cigar Pen that I use as a daily carry pen blew up. I had ink coming out of the top finial on the pen. That means there is ink everywhere inside the tubes and mechanisms.

Does anyone know if there is a product out there to allow me to clean this up? Being my first, I love this pen and would like to salvage it if possible.

I already have to redo the finish on it. Again, one of my first CA finishes and it didn't go on really great so a harsh material for cleaning is not a concern.

I think some thing like Simple Green would work rinse with water . Any thing else might harm the plating.

I have heard good things about Ink Away, but have never used it. I don't know what it will do to a CA finish.

1+ for Goo Gone . It's a citrus based cleaner that won't harm platings and CA finishes . It will clean ink , grease , tar and even adhesive labels from almost anything . I have even used it on raw wood to take off the labels that the big box stores use on lumber without staining the wood .
