I will be in Indy for some work related training next week. I will have the evenings free and am wondering if there is anything I should not miss.
I found the Rockler and Woodcraft stores, so they are on the list. Is there any more?
I'm staying right downtown near the Lucas Field

Thanks

Woodturningz, Indy Pen Dance, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Circle Center, and if your up for a two hour drive, just head down 65 south for some real excitement!! A place called Louisville Ky . Churchill Downs is running right now.

If you tell the guys at rockler that you are part of this form, they will take 10% off your order. I just did that the other day at that store.

Woodturningz is possible, can't find an address for pen dance, the Cathedral of Speed is on the list for sure (although I've been to 15-500s and 8-400s)
Went to college in Louisville, and that leaves "What is a Circle Center?"

Circle Center is right around the corner from Lucas Field. Used to be called Union Station. Lot's of stuff to see. Indy guys could tell you alot more. I travel there quite a bit. And i've only missed one 500 since 1991. I hate Nascar, so never made a 400.

Thanks for the info. I like Nascar but not there, I love Indy cars and go as often as I can.
We went to the first five 400s and a few sense, as I embrace the notion that any day at the track beats any day at work.

Bob, you'll be gone before I get back to Indy. The Circle Center is a mall downtown. As Ernie said, real close to where you're staying. If you like a nightcap, my daughter works at Dicks Last Resort. An outrageous club where insults are the norm. In fact I think it's a requirement. Depending on your interests, things to do close by are pretty plentiful. Historical museums and such, come to mind. The monument circle naturally. Woodcraft and Rockler are going to be a pretty good drive (40 minutes) Woodturningz even farther. But, take your Garmin or Tom-Tom or, whatever you have and look stuff up. Hope this helps.
