There is very little in this YouTube series by Dan Gelbart which relates to pen turning directly. However, if you are interested in seeing how a genius high tech product developer thinks and puts prototypes together, you should find this interesting.

Dan Gelbart arrived in Vancouver, BC from Israel in 1973 and proceeded to get very, very rich from product that he developed in a (very well equipped) home shop with generally cheap components.

Thanks for posting this, Bill

I well remember this person in his role at what was probably Vancouver's first truly high tech company ... MDA ... aka MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates.

John MacDonald, Vern Dettwiler, and Dan Gelbart ... the famous trio.

That company gave birth to CREO later, where Dan really turned the wheels.

CREO was later bought by Kodak for very close to $1B.
