I have a wonderfully made cast pen that I want the world to see. So why not post it in the SOYP forum where it should be you ask? My answer is, that as much I want the IAP members to see it, I would much prefer to understand the "meaning" of this pen. You see, althogh it's marvellous casting by Bruce (bRobbins629) and that he made it for simplyfor the asking. Bruce took on my request immediately and with very little guidance from me came up with this striking design. He mailed it to me on December 24 although I'm sure that he had more important obligations in preparation for Christmas. This act shows the wonderful spirit of sharing and kindness that is so prevalent here amongst the members. Bruce did not do it for any monetary value, I genuinely believe that he did because he could and that I needed his assistance. I called and he unselfishly answered. That helping hand that we see so often here is what brings me back time after time to the IAP.

So Bruce, a special thanks once again for the Maple Leaf blanks and more importantly, thank you for the frienship that you have offered. I see these acts of kindness often here, from far too many members that I have time to list. May this spirit continue and help us all to make the IAP a world worth living and sharing in.

Thank you Peter and Bruce. To me this is what this forum is about. We too have made some great friendships thanks to IAP. Several of which extend beyond to email and phone. We wouldn't want it any other way. I think the first pen swap really opened our eyes as to what kind of people are here.

To all of you who have touched our lives both on and off IAP, thank you as it means so much.

And Peter thank you and sorry for butting in on your thread. The pen is awesome, but I must say that the colors and location makes me think cold and that is not a good thing in January. Let's all meet in Key West at Sloppy Joe's for a little winter break!

Nice to see good things happen, Not much of a Leafs fan, but I do appreciate the wonderful work of both Bruce and You, it's a beautiful pen, I'll bet it would look fabulous with a Montreal Canadians Logo I'll probably get a [B)] and an [8] for being a [}:)]

Bravo! both for the pen and all involved but for your comments as well. Other places I visit on the web generally turn my stomach. But here I feel comfortable, and amoung friends.

Peter - a great job on the turning, but I think you left out some of the story. Apparently no good deed goes unpunished on this site so I too was blessed with a most generous package of rare and unusual top quality blanks from the north in return. More importantly I have a new friend to share my hobby with. Thanks for the opportunity.

Oh - and another note. The blanks also came with a guarantee of a winning season.

Thank you Peter and Bruce for sharing your talents and comments with us. Very nice work on all accounts.

Ummm I wonder how that pen would look dressed in the blue note, right colors too. STL Blues for those who dont follow hockey.:D
